Real bad post-incident service. I purchased high value tickets and got lower value tickets at the door. Orbitz refused to refund me the difference.

Great price but no service. We had a room in Mexico Orbitz Pre-Paid) and when we arrived the hotel was so dirty we called Orbitz to have change made. According to Orbitz this was a 5-star hotel so we shouldn't have problem we took pictures and found another hotel. We asked for a refund but no luck even with picture of moldy carpet, hairy bathroom and dirty bed sheets. We had to do a charge back to get out money back.

Also they only give $3 FatCash vs. 3% at Priceline.

Not quite so happy, reserved a room at Quality Inn, found when I got there I was getting the standard rate, it is cheaper to book through www.ChoiceHotels.com and use AAA discount. If you try to get a discount at the hotel after using Orbitz, they tell you the payment was done online, they can't adjust.

Their web has bug! One day I careless pressed the "cancell the trip" button and without double check or a comfirmation, they did cancell my reservation immediately! Later I have to call the air companies myself to fix the mistake.

So I did some research and found the following:

9:35 AM - Flight arrives in San Jose, California
9:50 AM - It takes up to 15 minutes to exit the plane and collect luggage.
9:55 AM - Up to 5 minutes to hail a cab or shuttle.
10:45 AM - Up to 50 minutes to travel to San Francisco with heavy morning traffic.

My flight departed San Francisco at 12:45 PM (corrected), so I should have had plenty of time, except for one major detail: YOU NEED TO CHECK IN AT LEAST 2 HOURS EARLY FOR INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS. This isn't even taking account the time it would take to get through long lines and security. Orbitz made a mistake: they sold me an impossible itinerary. Having a delayed flight was not an option because I was on a tight schedule. There was no way I was going to miss this plane.

So I called Orbitz back, they told me to call Delta and United. I did, and I spoke to managers at both Delta and United who confirmed that the itinerary was impossible to fulfill, and both of them referred me back to Orbitz. Before I called to tear Orbitz a new one, I checked the fine print of my itinerary to make sure it didn't mention anything about having to break the laws of physics for all or part of my trip. The email notification made no mention of this either.

Never find the best prices on Orbitz, epsecially on hotels and packages. Further, customer service is very difficult to get in touch with.
