My wife said some of these are still too high even with the 50% off, she's an expert.

50% off is still 49% too expensive.

Just a joke, okay OP?

Who the f*** is this jimmy choo anyways?

Ha ha...we were at the West Chester, NY mall last weekend and walked through Nordstrom's on the way to the food court (were there for lunch, not to buy anything -- too rich for our bank account!). My wife had our 5 1/2 daughter touch a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes, just to say she had. Great timing with this sale.

He's was/is small custom shoemaker in London who was involved early on. The person who really started and runs the company is a woman named Tamara Mellon. She went to him initially to have shoes made to her design. Choo maintained an equity stake in the business for a while but he's not been directly involved since they started to mass produce. Mellon just kept his name for the business. The company now is owned by a private capital firm.

Ummm... and, no, I'm really not into shoes so that I'd know that. Just happened to read a story about the company in the WSJ.
