i jumped in on this deal last week and it arrived while I was on vacation. Nothing about this mp3 player screams refurb except the small print on the side of the mp3 that looks very inconspicuous that says REFURB. Everything else looked brand spankin new and even the earbuds were brand new. I put some music on it and it was super easy to use. It plugs directly into a usb port and you just drag and drop your music on it. It even comes with a little extender usb cord in case the unit itself doesn't fit into a port on your computer. For 10 bucks it seems like it'll be perfect for the gym and especially nice because it has FM on it. |

Sounds like I'm just unlucky. I got two of these at $15 ea about a month ago. One was DOA battery (NOT replaceable!) and the other, very weak battery, died within a day. YMMV! My first and last Buy.com refurb! |

This is a good deal, picked one up. What's nice is the rechargable battery and expansion slot. I was throwing out too many aaa's with the other sansas. Looking forward to taking apart and checking for possible battery upgrades. Ordered an 8gb micro sdhc for capacity (latest firmware support). Only problem is the 1000 song limit. I have read the firmware is buggy when managing over 1000 files. 9gb for less than 30... nice. |

FYI just in case you plan on gifting these -> These Sansa Express 1GB MP3 players arrive sealed in a bubble bag instead of a box. Also no brochure, pamphlet, driver, sticker, label, etc.. Very simple non-descript packaging that may imply refurbished and/or used. |

Yea, it's there. Just play with the functions a little. You should see "radio" option. Then you can select an FM radio station. |
