Get a $200 credit towards movie rentals or purchases when you buy a VUDU HD Movie Player at Best Buy. I also found that the Santana Row Best Buy in San Jose, CA is offering an additional 10% off with the attached coupon.

$300 for the box
$3.99 per rental or $19.99 to own...

This is like paying for a credit card to pay more to the same company. They should take a clue from the satellite TV and give the boxes away free. I am not saying hand them out free of charge but if you are charging $300 for the box, at least give $300 movie credit, not $200. Obviously box is only worth the $100 and they are getting their money, forcing you to pay $200 worth of movie downloads. So, there is no risk for the vendor. If you don't like what you got, too bad, you are stuck with a piece of crap which you paid $100 at the end.

Also in a day like today, where the broadband service providers (your cable tv or phone/DSL provider) are going towards capping the bandwidth at ridiculously low levels (250 GB comcast cap can only give you about 20-30 HD movies on that month), what is the point of diving into such a risky business I do not understand.
