'Just okay at 50%' more would sound so much less jackassish if that deal had actually worked eh? Oh well, I'll keep trying to find deals, you keep doing your deal. |

The site is about helping people find deals, not taking it personally when "your" deal doesn't get a lot of love. You gave me red and I don't care. Your post is gonna get red and you shouldn't care either. You tried...and effort is always appreciated. Nonetheless, can you image if we greened every deal because we liked the OP or wanted to make him/her feel warm and fuzzy? |
This would have been a decent deal if CC had not screwed up and let some folks get it for $1k. Once we see they got it for $1k, $1500 plus tax sounds bad. If you look around and see what the 50" A550 plasma goes for elsewhere ($1,379 delivered) then getting the plasma for $1,500 plus tax locally AND getting the xbox bundle included is not a bad deal. If you live where tax is low and either want the xbox or can sell it, your net price for the TV is close to the best delivered price on the web. Red for this deal post though, because it is days late and a simple (correct) search would have found the other thread. Also red for CC's still hosed web page that has incorrect inventory and wants to charge shipping for in store pickup. Dennis |

I just picked up this deal after I placed the order over the phone. Samsung 50" Series 5 Plasma HDTV Xbox 360 Live.com 5% I plan on selling the xbox set on eBay for $300 for a wash. When everything is done- I got the tv for about $1000 before tax!! (once xbox sells) |
With a $100 off or 10% off one-time use coupon and 36-mo 0% financing it's a pretty darn good deal, and I keep getting tempted...but after hearing some folks got it for ~$400 less I just can't pull the trigger. |
50" hd tv's are 1199.00 at the Sam's Club in Athens Georgia on hwy 29! |

I don't have a 10% coupon and our tax rate is nearly 10%, so it not as tempting to me. The fact that I would have to pay shipping (now) to do the deal kills it further. Like you, the safety that keeps me from pulling the trigger is knowing other folks got this for so much less Dennis |
My bad. |
You can also try the 10% off coupon from AAA Note - I haven't tried it yet, still comparing prices & features. Side note - for those of you that would rather see 'Sick deal at $999' whether it works or not, here it is for just $800 |
