Lowest price I have found that's not a refurb. Anyone looking for a sound bar for TV/movies, this is a great buy. Sorry -I know there are postings about Sears friends and family already, but I have not seen this item listed, and this is a deal. |

THIS DEAL IS DEAD - PRICE IS BACK TO $299.99 |
Lowest price on My Simon for the Sony Sound Bar by $100!! |
what's the difference between this and the yamaha sound projector? |
Tell me a model. The Yamaha sound bars I've looked at are way more expensive than the Sony. Sony has pretty good ratings, based on inputs, sound quality, and price. Can't touch this for $199. Check the ratings....I've been going back and forth on a HTIB or this sound bar. The $100 price drop makes the decision easy. I'm looking for good sound quality for tv's/movies, low clutter, and don't need a dvd (have PS3). |
Green to you! Just got one for $179.99 after 10% friends and family discount! |
Sorry but the virtual surround from these bars simply can't compare to a real 5.1 setup. I can understand the selling points: convenience and price. If you consider that you're not getting surround sound, those points aren't really valid. I'd recommend putting the money towards decent individual speakers. |
got one, thanks OP! And yes, it doesnt sound as good as a $20,000 7.1 sound system either, but I dont have the space nor the $20,000! If it gets the job done reasonably well for the price, then its a good deal. |
Thanks OP. I read a positive blurb about this in Consumer Reports just yesterday and today I see this deal. I'm in! |
I was going to buy one from Amazon this week for $100 more. This just saved me $100. Thanks OP. |
it's krzy how i was looking into all these sound bars yesterday and i come across this awesome deal... OP- thnx so much, i just placed my order !! |
I bought mine 2 months ago at Costco for $220. The feature I like the most is the HDMI switch. I supports 3 HDMI IN and 1 HDMI OUT. There is support for 3 optical audio inputs. They can be used independent of HDMI inputs. |

A low-end 5.1 setup can be had for under $500 and would actually produce surround sound. Not dissing on this deal, just letting people know what to expect. |
Have one of these---great solution for a small bedroom. The soundbar fits perfectly in my bookcase, right in front of my LCD. Two complaints: it has trouble correctly handling sound over HDMI with my Toshiba A3 HD-DVD player, so have to rely on an optical hookup (so much for the miracle of HDMI). And, with some sources, the volume simply can't be gotten very loud. An issue for me since I use some exercise equipment (bike, rowing machine) while watching TV/DVDs, and like a higher volume setting to overcome the sound of the equipment, as well as my wheezing and exhausted heavy breathing. |
ive played around with this system, i think it stinks. i would only get it if i needed to save space. just my opinion. |
