nice, looks like one of those boomboxes from the 80s - except miniature.

Has a frequency range from 350-15,000Hz. keep in mind the normal human ear can hear at least 20,000Hz and below 350Hz. In other words these speakers will play music with no bass or high frequencies coming through. They'd be good for radio podcasts or audiobooks though I suppose

Don't you have to pay for shipping? Probably why they need your credit card.

I think you are high like your 2nd option since you can't even spell it correctly.

The physical configuration concerns me, with the plug coming out of the bottom center of the speaker. I'm hesitant to connect something to the iPod, that is as big and probably heavier than the iPod itself, supported only by the small plug. Not to mention; do you have to hold the thing when it's playing, or do you turn the speaker upside down and set it down on the speaker with the iPod upside down too?

Sorry, I would pass on this as they just don't sound very good. Someone gave me one as a gift, it just wasn't much. Any MP3 player should go through some sort of amplification and then to a small set of speakers.

Do you know many real, actual human ears that hear out to 20,000 Hz? More importantly, do you know of any music that contains content that far out? Maybe your dog might need greater range, but the average adult doesn't pick up much beyond 16 or 17K Hz. Which is why most recorded music is attenuated beyond that. And there is plenty of high frequency at 15K. As for bass, you'll never find a small, portable speaker like this capable of putting out meaningful bass. How much bass does the typical notebook computer put out?

I'm ordering one to amplify the pathetically low volume output from my GPS. Fidelity is not a concern under this application. Amplfication is. Must remember to turn it off after use, though.

I assume the 2AA batteries it requires (are to) power the built-in amplification....
