no

you can use any plan..but there is $ 29.95 data plan which you have to get for the unlimited internet and email access

i do have the 39.99 plan with 450 min anytime and i have to get the data plan for the blackberry so it will be $69.99 plus tax

i thought the Blackberry nationwide email plan (starting at $80) was required to get this (or at least at the promo price).

Does this phone have GSM support? If not, it's useless.

im on the verizon website and do not see the 29.99 plan for data... did they take it off? I only see a 49.99 plan for unlimited data for a BB

i wont ask you to explain your seemingly useless remark, but yes it does have GSM capability.

In fact it comes with a SIm card so if you roam you just get internaitonal roaming activated on SIM cardStollen123 said:yes it has a GSM support

How is this one compared to iphone?

They just introduced this 29.99 plan...I am still paying 44.99 for my unlimited email and internet

where do you see the upgrade price?

So if I'm a current VZ customer with a normal phone and am eligible for the new every two, I could get it for $150?

Call them and they will bring it down to 29.99 for you. If they ask make sure you tell them you use it for personal use.

Actually the $29.99 data plan is different than the $44.99 plan. The $44.99 data plan is always on and live. No need to connect to server or email client. The $29.99 data plan u must log on and connect to your email server.

Is anyone else stuck not thinking it's worth $30 per phone to access internet and email? I understand that VW is a better network, but their pricing sucks compared to sprint. Will they ever compete based on price?

Verizon gotta do better than this. Obviously, this phone is their answer to Iphone but honestly there have been many IPhone clones and all of them suck. I have a feeling it'll be a no challenge to Iphone. With that said, Verizon has to make the deal sweeter than $50 difference from Iphone.
