Cash Back is available from FatWallet!TigerDirect.com: 3.0% Cash Back » See offers, coupons, ratings, and applicable restrictions.

$65 now - the drive is $79.99 after rebate, there's 15% CashBack with Live.com... and only $1.99 shipping.

Working link (I hope), and without the referral tags in the OP link.

Item is $110 with a $30 rebate from the RebatesHQ folks. Rebate has a limit of five, so you can buy several to cut down on shipping per drive. Shipping to IN is $7.99 for one, and only $12.95 for five.

Also don't forget the $4.40 FWCB on each drive.

So what's the current verdict on today's Deskstars?

If you go to CompUSA, there's also $20 back on $200 purchase when paying via PayPal. And CUSA has 4.5% back, so you're not losing much in the CB department if the $20 doesn't come through.

Is this type of thing available in the stores? I'd hate to have to pay shipping and tax here in FL

If you live in FL (and maybe other states), you can save tax by purchasing from Global Computer. GC & TD are sister companies.

If you're buying more than one, I think TD + paypal might be a better deal.

I got my most recent Hitachi rebate in about three weeks. Very fast and reliable rebates.

CompUSA is definitely the best bet if you are wanting two drives!

$219.98+$12.66s&h = $232.64 - $30*2 MIR - $20 Paypal - 4% FC ($8.80) = $143.84 final cost (only $71.92/ea!)
Of course, my Paypal account is linked to my Discover which gives me another 1%+ back ($2.33) -- more if I redeem for rewards cards.

This is a 5-platter design, is it not?

FYI, CompUSA version of the deal has an "estimated delivery date of December 22nd". I THINK the rebate is still valid, but i don't trust CompUSA (aka TigerDirect) to ship it on-time, and either way, i won't be at my house to accept shipment, fill out rebate, and send it in. Hope i was helpful.

TigerDirect always has a rebate. I don't how many people got one.

The rebate is from Hitachi, not TD, and goes through rebatesHQ, a pretty dependable processor.

BTW, they have $1.99 shipping today, so even better deal.

I see still $7.99 shipping for one, and $13.xx for 2 drives. Where is $1.99 shipping?

WTF . . . .??? It was there just a minute ago, as mentioned in this repost. But now I don't see it either. Maybe it had something to do with that other post's referral link. Try it before the mods delete it.

Edit: One of my open browser windows still shows it, but no longer available in new windows.

To get the $1.99 shipping your order has to be > $100 and < 50 lbs... buy two = $1.99 ground ship
