$65 now - the drive is $79.99 after rebate, there's 15% CashBack with Live.com... and only $1.99 shipping. |
Working link (I hope), and without the referral tags in the OP link. Item is $110 with a $30 rebate from the RebatesHQ folks. Rebate has a limit of five, so you can buy several to cut down on shipping per drive. Shipping to IN is $7.99 for one, and only $12.95 for five. Also don't forget the $4.40 FWCB on each drive. So what's the current verdict on today's Deskstars? |
If you go to CompUSA, there's also $20 back on $200 purchase when paying via PayPal. And CUSA has 4.5% back, so you're not losing much in the CB department if the $20 doesn't come through. |
Is this type of thing available in the stores? I'd hate to have to pay shipping and tax here in FL |

I'd hate to have to pay shipping and tax here in FL If you live in FL (and maybe other states), you can save tax by purchasing from Global Computer. GC & TD are sister companies. If you're buying more than one, I think TD + paypal might be a better deal. |

Thanks OP... I can always use more cheap storage. |
I got my most recent Hitachi rebate in about three weeks. Very fast and reliable rebates. |
CompUSA is definitely the best bet if you are wanting two drives! $219.98+$12.66s&h = $232.64 - $30*2 MIR - $20 Paypal - 4% FC ($8.80) = $143.84 final cost (only $71.92/ea!) |
FYI, CompUSA version of the deal has an "estimated delivery date of December 22nd". I THINK the rebate is still valid, but i don't trust CompUSA (aka TigerDirect) to ship it on-time, and either way, i won't be at my house to accept shipment, fill out rebate, and send it in. Hope i was helpful. |
TigerDirect always has a rebate. I don't how many people got one. |
The rebate is from Hitachi, not TD, and goes through rebatesHQ, a pretty dependable processor. BTW, they have $1.99 shipping today, so even better deal. |

WTF . . . .??? It was there just a minute ago, as mentioned in this repost. But now I don't see it either. Maybe it had something to do with that other post's referral link. Try it before the mods delete it. Edit: One of my open browser windows still shows it, but no longer available in new windows. |
