You can get the Epson CX9400Fax at Epson for $69.99 after $60 instant discount. The shipping is about $10. I just got one to replace my Canon MP160 because you can get generic ink cartridges for the Epson for not really for the Canon (or any Canon). It's right here: |

Just a tip - research ink prices when you consider the purchase of a printer. HP is not the only company guilty of practically giving away the printer but making a killing on the ink. The color cartridge for this printer holds just 4ml and costs $18.50. The color cartridge for my current HP printer is $37.97 but holds 17ml. In other words, you're really getting hosed on the cartridges with "cheap" printers like this when you break down the cost of how much ink you're getting per ml. I like HP a lot but I recommend going for a middle-range model that uses decent sized cartridges. |
Decent price but nothing really special unless you need it shipped. Sam's Club has the same printer for $44.88. |

Agreed, inkjet technology is all about the ink ... depending on whose figures you use, $5000 to $15000 per gallon of ink is where the money is (when purchasing ink via a new cartridge). I have been ink refilling my own cart's 3 printers ago. Will do my first graphite/laser refill sometime in the near future ... darn thing just keeps on printing and printing. |
