Was at Costco today and found a 2 pack of Duracell's Daylight LED Flashlights. One uses 3 AAA and the other 2 AA batteries (included). They are rated at 80 Lumens/3W. They come with a lifetime guarantee. These are not the 160 Lumens/4W that uses 2 CR123 batteries, but they are bright nonetheless.

Have not tried these, but I can tell you I have tried dozens of flashslights, and nothing comes close to this Ray-oVac 4W light in terms of brightness, and value. Its one AMAZING flashlight, although quite a big one. It really is incredibly bright, and casts a beam farther out than anything else I have tried.

My fav 4W

The 2AA version is regulated. (Stays lit at a constant brightness until running low on batteries) the 3AAA version is reportedly not regulated. (Slowly, gets progressively less bright.)

This is a very good price for these lights, considering the lifetime guarantee. (Not just a warranty) You don't need a receipt, you don't need to have registered them. Just ship it in to Duracell if it goes bad and they fix it or replace it. (Most likely replace it, since virtually nothing gets "fixed" anymore) Duracell is not a fly-by-night company that will just fold, leaving you with a useless guarantee.

I can speak for both the 2AA and the CR123 (~$35) versions. The 2AA is a good light, But the CR123 is awesome! It's my current favorite and I carry it everywhere. It is light, bright, and throws out pure white. It's a flooder though, not a thrower (spot) like the rayovac 4W. If you want an excellent thrower for the money, see my post on the Husky 200 lumens at Home Depot ($24.97). (Search "husky" in the hot deals forum) That is my favorite "thrower" for the money.
