Back again with $30 in bonus minutes. $10 when activated, and $10 each much for two months. For new activations only. Must remain active for 2 months.

I might just order another one since my current line has like 2 minutes left...

I've been looking for new phones for the last month as my ATT contract was up. I'm 90% sure i'm getting a Fuze, but the rest of my family are looking for upgrades too. ATT wants a quite ridiculous $129 to upgrade to the V3xx (old v3 is still $240 from att w/o contract and $80 refurbed w/ new contract). Anyways for $59.99 a brand new razr v3 is a pretty good deal. You also get a $25 prepaid card, which generally sells for near full price, plus i needed one anyways for my tmobile business number, so it basically reduces the net to about $30ish, i don't think you can even get a refurb for that price. Yes it's the old gen, but you can still flash it to smithereens with enhancements. I still remember when I was one of the first to get the Razr, when they were $500 with contract, even the employees were asking to play with it, but traded it up to a HTC Blue Angel to replace my phone and palm. Moto hasn't really done much in the last 4 years.

Anyways summary
New Tmobile Razr Pearl Grey V3re + $30 prepaid card, free shipping $59.99 + tax Also $5 FatCash or $10 from other sites

Tmobile

You can buy this to upgrade your old phone, just drop in your SIM card from your old Tmobile phone. Not other steps required. General reports show you aren't penalized for not activating, though it's pretty easy, you just enter a bunch of numbers, don't need to talk to anyone.

*Unlocking* Reports generally show that tmobile will send you an unlock code if you call them. As for unlocking yourself, it won't be as easy as a number you find on the net, you will need to pay for a unlock code generally $5-$10 or try flash it yourself (mini usb cable), though being an V3re seems to make normal guides incompatible, i will try to unlock it myself soon. Or they have turbosim/smartsim for about $7 at the extreme sites.

Yes this is a plastic Razr, though much better plastic than most other cheapo phones. Most Razrs seem to be plastic now as most of my friend's ones are really plastic on examination, even old Cingular ones from 3 years back. The seals have been revised now to prevent the dust bunnies from attacking inside the screens. This is bascially a V3r + Edge. FWIW it's basically a Razr, thin, iconic, awful interface, more than four years old. Sadly there aren't many flip phones that can challenge it in terms of styling.

Thanks FW for the free tshirt!

Yes, just put in your T-Mobile SIM card and you are good to go.

You can probably get at least $20 for your refill card on e Bay.

Question #2: I have a prepaid T-Mobile phone. It's ancient and I want to upgrade to this one. Can I port my old mobile number and unused account prepaid minutes to this new one?

You don't need to port. The joy of SIM cards is that you just open up your old phone, take out the SIM card behind the battery and switch it into the new phone. Then voila, you are calling from your old account on your new phone. Your number is tied to your SIM and the SIM card serial, not to a phone. Hope that helps.

Does anyone have a model history of the V3/RAZR phones? I have one of the earlier RAZR phones, from when about when they started to come out with colors. It is heavy and metal and I have loved it. When I pick up what is now sold as as a RAZR, they are much lighter, and feal cheaper. So I would love to read some enthusiast's web site or other summary about the model, and what changes it has gone through. What are the model differences? What problems do the different versions have?

The ones after this was the V3T which has some minor hardware changes.

These are the first-generation RAZRs with the new firmware that includes quad-band and the video camera function. They're pretty easy to unlock and flash with generic firmware.

Also, can we flash these phones to other language?

Just noticed DD has $5 instant Cash Back on these phones.
