Received a flyer about a week back on this deal. Even with the markups considered, this could be a hot deal. Must be $999+ in equipment, labor (home theater or car audio setup) not included.

This would be an awesome deal, if it didn't require me to spend $100 on gas every month, and to mail in those receipts.

Once you get used to the routine it's really not so bad. You can prep all your envelopes in one session, along with coupons, then just drop in your receipts.

One Caveat - Don't forget - It's a use 'em of lose 'em deal!

Although not ethical, I suppose you could always ask a friend/relative for their receipts if you don't spend that much on gas a month. Also, I checked with a local B&M that said if you forget to submit them one month, then you can still mail the receipts in for the next month and continue the deal.

thats $2,000 in gas that you have to spend at a spacific gas station brand and you have to spend $100 each month for twenty months!!! and usually these brands are more expensive then the small private gas stations, so your savings is further diminished.

Pay full retail plus markup upfront.
For example, 50 inch Panny plasma is about $1700 at tter (including tax & delivery), when you can get the same one for around $900 shipped.

but wait, you get back $500 in 20 months... 6-8 weeks wait for each voucher.... must send in bunch of receipts, documents, fees... do it 20 times....

Where's my Staples easy button?

I'm almost tempted by this deal, their FAQ states that you can pick any old gas, not just named brand. You can pick Sam's club or whatever, you just have to stick with whatever you pick. My one concern is what happens if this gas rebate company goes under next month? Have they been around for a while, anybody know the history on them?

This is a terrible deal. Tweeter is going out of business. If I were to try this deal I would probably never see my rebate. What a terrible fatwalleter you are Robinboston trying to get me to waste my hard earned dollars at a retailer thats going out of business :-p

Yes, Tweeter is in liquidation and I hope no one here at FW has taken up this offer because the fulfillment agency can now be even more nitpicking and look for reasons to reject submissions.
