Belize is awesome for scuba and ecotourism. 3/4ths is a wildlife preserve. english speaking and accepts usd. it's just south of cancun. |

I'd been looking at this since yesterday, trying to find a place to stay before buying. 15 minutes ago the $30 fares were still valid for my dates, now it's up to $125 plus tax. Final price $323.10. Looks like the original deal is dead. |

Hmm. this is the result i got: $439 + $384 taxes & fees = $823 per person It seems that taxes/fees are huge, was the $130 a pricing mistake? |

For my date Nov 8th to Nov 12th I got $315.08 with taxes - two people. I booked it right away. Don't know much about Belize but it looks like a very cool place. I got on TripAdvisor.com and checked out hotels. Was hoping to use a large bank of Marriott Rewards points but it doesn't look like they have many branded hotels in the area. I just booked with the Black Orchid Resort. Looks like a small quaint place - the owner was very nice and responsive to my questions. It reviewed #1 among all area hotels. They even provide a free shuttle to/from the airport. I'm planning on doing some cave tubing and seeing the Mayan Ruins while there. Maybe i'll see some other FW'ers down there. |
