FINANCING For those who don't belong to a credit union and need financing assistance, try to get a pre-approval before you go to the dealer. Capital One is advertising "as low as" 5.29%, if you have good credit, any rate 6% or below is good. With Nissan's sale, you won't get manufacturer-backed 2.9% financing or anything like that. If a dealer comes back to you at 6-7%, that is decent, assuming great credit. MONEY DOWN won't help lower your rate, because banks will loan up to invoice amount if not MSRP of the vehicles, and these discounts make it a great LTV (Loan to Value). I.E. A Quest has an invoice of $30,000, you are financing $22,000 means LTV is 73% (22,000/30,000). LTV below 80 or 85% (for most banks) assures the best rate already. Check out Capital One before you go, if possible. Simliar Deal on Mazda CX9's WARRANTIES AND GAP First of all, don't need GAP unless you are trading in a vehicle that is significantly upside down. GAP covers if you owe more than what the vehicle is worth, however with this forum most vehicles are almost $10k under MSRP, so the chances of that happening is slim to none. Unless you miss payments I have been in the auto business for a while, and I can honestly say the margin on extended service plans aren't much now, with the introduction to the Internet. You can get a Nissan 100k plan right around $1k, most dealers' service plans prices ARE negotiable. By law in some states, dealers cannot sell you a "warranty". The definition of "warranty" is FREE. Dealers can sell you an extended service plan (same thing different verbage). Any of you who want to cause trouble for the dealers, mention this! WITH THAT SAID, I would recommend a factory backed extended service plan from the get go ASSUMING reasonable cost (i.e. check around, many places including other dealers can sell you a genuine Nissan service plan on your new Nissan). When you buy a service plan from a dealer, if they refuse service, you can take it up directly with the dealer face to face. Plus, the fact that it is Nissan backed, they would know your vehicle best (i.e. if your flux capacitor fails, Nissan can check it if it is a normal occurrence with other Nissan dealers nationwide). Regardless of how long it takes, how much it costs, Nissan will have a replacement vehicle (i.e. rental) for you for the duration. Third party service plans are typically cheaper, but a lot harder to get service. MANY dealers will not accept warranty claims other than manufacturer ones. Keep in mind the point of these warranty companies is to pay out as little as possible so they make you jump through hoops and send an adjuster out to inspect the vehicle (if it is a repair over $1500-$2000 varies with companies) which delays the process. They also almost always cap the replacement vehicle like a rental for 5 days. An engine or transmission replacement can take up to 2 weeks. Keep in mind EVERY vehicle will break down, just depends on when. Look at the service bays of your local Honda and Toyota dealers, there are ALWAYS cars there. I personally know of an 08 Camry Hybrid on its 3rd transmission with 5,000 miles on its odometer. Spending $1k on a 100k service plan just gives you a peace of mind. Before you say "Nissan are awesome cars, I have never bought a warranty with any car I've owned" consider this.... Would you spend $25k on a brand new car (Honda, Nissan, Toyota) with NO warranty, regardless how good the reputation is? Service plans are transferable, so if and when you decide to sell the vehicle or give it to your kids, it does add significant value (Would you buy a car with 60k miles on it without a service plan, or a car with 70k miles with a manufacturer backed service plan?). For those of you who HAVE purchased, you should be still eligible to purchase a Nissan-backed service plan still. Your credit union may offer a service plan for the vehicle, roughly around $1k for a 100k mile plan....below is some of the prices for the actual Nissan service plan. This amount may also able to be financed with your auto finance plan (credit union, Capital One, dealer). As always, YMMV check with the dealer/credit union prior to the purchase please. Any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me wandl@rocketmail.com I will be more than happy to assist in auto-related matters.
Harold Shelby @ VOB Nissan Also, there is no tax and these prices are for the Nissan gold preferred product. Harold accepts visa, mastercard, AMEX, and cash/check. The purchase can be done entirely over the phone. The warranty is transferable to another owner for $50 payable to Nissan. These prices are too good to pass up. GOLD PREFERRED Keep in mind the powertrain warranty on your Nissan is 60 months or 60,000 miles. But the Gold Preferred covers EVERYTHING factory - if your Nissan came with moonroof, DVD, power seats, power sliding doors, navigation, its all covered. Consider the $50 deductible, it is about 20% cheaper.

Did you get the low rate promo financing as well or does the rebate eliminate that deal? |
The rebate eliminates any financing promo as far as i can tell. We just went through our own CU. |
Wow! If they had this deal anywhere within 500 miles of me I would jump on it... either get a Titan or a Frontier 4x4 to tow my small travel trailer with... I think my local Nissan dealer is a ripoff, and the bigger-city one closest to me I have no idea about... |

At least you could take this info and go to a dealer and ask about it. |
Is this for real. I don't want to be going 200 miles to be disappointed by sales gimmick. |
