Just bought a 2008 Nissan Quest MSRP $26500 incl des. chg for $15,900! This was at Glenn Nissan in Lexington, KY.
The deal is that Nissan has a $3500 rebate going plus $5000 back to dealers who sell over a certain number of cars. Glenn Nissan passed the savings to the customer and sold several units Fri/ Sat. I picked up one today and wanted to alert others to be on the lookout in their area for the same deal.
It really takes all depreciation out of buying a new vehicle where you lose 20% the moment you drive off the lot.
Now if gas goes down, we be a doin' real gud! lol

for those of you who are NOT getting 10.5 k off
make a fake email id, email 15 dealers, tell them that you are already getting 10k off, "would you match?"
if they ask for proof, tell them, "would you give me your offer in email? so that i can go to next guy and ask for 300$ more off? no, then why are you asking for proof??"

once you see 1 dealer saying yes, i would match 10k, know for sure, he will do 10.5 k
email him from real id now "if you do 10.5k fine, i ll buy 3, else no thanks"
make a group of 2-3, it will be a good strategy

Best Deal for Quest 3.5S and 3.5S with Drivers Package so far...

FINANCING

For those who don't belong to a credit union and need financing assistance, try to get a pre-approval before you go to the dealer. Capital One is advertising "as low as" 5.29%, if you have good credit, any rate 6% or below is good. With Nissan's sale, you won't get manufacturer-backed 2.9% financing or anything like that. If a dealer comes back to you at 6-7%, that is decent, assuming great credit.

MONEY DOWN won't help lower your rate, because banks will loan up to invoice amount if not MSRP of the vehicles, and these discounts make it a great LTV (Loan to Value). I.E. A Quest has an invoice of $30,000, you are financing $22,000 means LTV is 73% (22,000/30,000). LTV below 80 or 85% (for most banks) assures the best rate already.

Check out Capital One before you go, if possible.

Hey thanks Bourg. Forgot to link the ad.

Did you get the low rate promo financing as well or does the rebate eliminate that deal?

wait - it will be B1G1

The rebate eliminates any financing promo as far as i can tell. We just went through our own CU.
The $3500 initial rebate far outweighs the savings from a promo % financing deal though.

Hehe maybe! If it does I'll avg. down.

Wow! If they had this deal anywhere within 500 miles of me I would jump on it... either get a Titan or a Frontier 4x4 to tow my small travel trailer with... I think my local Nissan dealer is a ripoff, and the bigger-city one closest to me I have no idea about...

IMO it may come to a town near you. At least you could take this info and go to a dealer and ask about it.

Is this for real. I don't want to be going 200 miles to be disappointed by sales gimmick.

I notice they have stock #'s listed in that ad. The catch is usually that the only cars that are on sale are those specific cars with the listed stock number. So I'm assuming the Quest you bought will be the only they sell at that price...

I just looked around my area. one dealer is advertising 33% off, not 40%. it's about 1k above your dealer's $'s. still great price.

There was no gimmick. MSRP $26500. They then took off $7100, added state tax + license/reg fee then reduced the $3500 REBATE.
Total discount $10600.00, just as the ad said. No hassle.
I was so excited I called others I knew about the deals being offered.
They had about 5-6 Quests left, 3 Pathfinders, 2-3 Xterras and several pickups. You should call before traveling that distance, to see what they have left. It was busy this morning.

All of those models listed as far as I know were 40% off. It would be wise to call first to check it out.

So, how much did you pay after taxes and everything?

Don't know. We have a Nissan dealership much closer to us, but I did not check to see if they would match price.
We will have any warranty work done there though
