Comes in Nickel and Oil bronze. The cheapest remote itself costs $25.
Few reported that that Lowes printing $10 off $50 coupon at the bottom of receipts. Of course, YMMV on the coupon. Try buying something cheap like a screw or a nail, if it prints, use that cpn to buy this fan - Final : $49 + tax.
Else, buy 24 pk Gatorades (thanks flobb) first that has a $10 off $50 coupon in it. Use that cpn to buy this fan - Final : Free 24pk Gatorade and Fan for $59+tax.

I have two of these that I installed 3 years ago. They are decent looking ceiling fans for the price. I've had people remark that they are nice. Of course they were probably just being polite, but they could have remarked about any of the other items in that room.
So, nothing spectacular, but for $60 it's unlikely you'll find anything better.
Note: if you plan to use CFL's with this, by-pass the dimmer control box when hooking up the light.
if nothing else, see if they have the special marked gatorade with 10off50 inside. buy it first, open and go back in to buy other stuff. you end up with free 20pk gatorade.
These aren't online for some reason. Does anyone have a picture of the oil bronze? I really like the look of these fans, but am not sure it'll match the rest of my plain/modern looking house. I would really like to get rid of my run-of-the-mill brass fan with the 4 bell-shaped glass shades, like you see everywhere. About like this one. Kinda cheapy looking (and I don't need 4 bulbs wasting electricity).
Does anyone know if the mover coupon will work?

i want to replace my existing light with this one in my bedroom, how hard is it to install? does it need to run any wires from the main box or just disconnect the old ones n then connect the new ones?

If you don't know, then you better hire an electrician!

Wiring is usually easy, its best if you have a ground wire. The important part is if the electrical box is properly mounted so it can handle the extra weight of the fan. I have had to get in the attic to enstall a brace to anchor the box to.
What is the deal with the gatorade coupon?? Is it in the ad or are you saying buy it to see if the coupon prints out like any purchase?? TIA
typically you would have a common negative & 2 positives one of which is not used to make the connection to the light bulb. For the fan one positive is for running the fan & the other for the light & the negavtive is the common wire.
You need to make sure the electrical box is screwed into a stud and secured. Usually it is good practice to do so, but in some installations, they literally put the box directly on drywall without securing it first. If it is not secured, then you will need to follow some DIY instructions for making an electrical box for a fan.
True -- that's a potential issue. The last thing you want is the weight/motion of the fan cracking the sheetrock and falling -- particularly if it's over one's head or bed!
If you're not sure, might be good to take a studfinder up to the ceiling and see if it's over/adjacent to the hole. Can usually also just knock on the sheetrock and tell from the pitch of the sound where the stud is.
