What's even more odd is that you wasted the time to let everyone know.

What's even more odd is that you actually replied to the worthless post and made me think someone actually replied with a post that relates to the deal or my previous question.

I got in on this product with one of the previous deals at Office Depot. I purchased four of them. It's a nice product but I just want to warn everyone that the range on this is TERRIBLE. If the receiver isn't less than two feet away, good luck getting it working properly. I'm not even exaggerating. It's really bad.

deals looks good even at ~29 but the site credibility still a ??

is this the best deal for it so far? i don't need one right away, but would like to buy one sooner or later.

In for one!

A lot of the reviews say the same as AceNJ, that the range is horrible. I'm looking for something to use with HDPC, so I'm probably at least 6-7 feet away from the receiver. May take a shot anyway. If the range doesn't work I can use on my extra PC in the computer room.

Still a great deal though, if you don't need that much range. I haven't seen this cheaper than $40.

It is a desktop PC wireless kit, the range is fine for anyone sitting at a desk and wanting a little less clutter. A better choice for a HTPC would be a combo unit with a touchpad or other pointing device built in.

I have my receiver stuck to the underside of the desk (by the PC) and it works great.

I am typing on one right now. I bought about 5 of them from when Staples had them for $15. I went all over Boise to PM it. I have one at work and one at home and I love them. I might be in for a couple more for Xmas presents after checking the site. thanks.
